Practical ways to help children heal from trauma

family on merry go round

Trauma can enter a child’s life in many ways, whether through abuse, neglect and removal from their biological parents, or through things that can happen even in the healthiest homes, such as a difficult pregnancy or a natural disaster. These things can cause social, behavioral and emotional challenges for a child, which can seem overwhelming to parents and caregivers.

Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI) is your practical guide to helping the whole child. Built on best practices in neuroscience, attachment theory and more, TBRI shows you how to address physical, emotional and mental needs – and when those all fall into place, punitive intervention isn’t necessary.

TBRI has worked when many other interventions, such as medications and cognitive-behavioral therapies, haven’t been sufficient. Anyone can use TBRI, no degree necessary, and it can be tailored to any child’s unique situation.
