Emmelie Pickett is the Communications Coordinator at TCU’s Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development (KPICD). In this role Emmelie amplifies stories of TBRI® in action through the Institute’s marketing & communication efforts and digital media content. She also serves as editor of The Connections Blog and co-producer of the TBRI® Podcast.
Since joining the Institute in 2009, Emmelie previously served as Media Specialist and as Assistant to the Director, Dr. Karyn Purvis, for whom the Institute is named. Emmelie is a featured writer in the late Dr. Purvis’s last written work, The Connected Parent (Harvest House, 2020). She holds her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from TCU in Radio/TV/Film and Liberal Arts, respectively.
Emmelie lives in Fort Worth, TX with her husband, daughter, and son.
