Announcing the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development
We are excited to announce that as of December 8, 2016, our name has changed from the TCU Institute of Child Development to the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development, in honor of our late founder and director, and her devotion to healing vulnerable children.
Dr. Karyn Brand Purvis, co-founder and former Director of the Institute, was an internationally renowned child development expert who devoted her life to bringing healing to “children from hard places.” Dr. Purvis died in April of 2016 after a valiant fight with cancer.
Under the leadership of co-founder and Rees-Jones Director, Dr. David Cross, the work of Dr. Purvis continues to flourish at the Institute where our team is deeply committed to continuing her work. We are honored to carry her work forward, both in legacy and in name.
