Evidence-based intervention for trauma-affected children

If you interact with children in your work – whether as a child therapist, a police officer, or anything in between – you’ve likely encountered those who have been traumatized, who’ve never learned healthy coping mechanisms, and whose behavior shows it.
Whether you only have a few minutes or several months to work with a child, the way you approach the interaction can make a monumental difference.

Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) is your practical guide; an evidence-based model for helping trauma-affected children overcome behavioral issues and go on to live full and productive lives. What started as a model for adoptive parents has grown into something that is now implemented by professionals all over the world.

Evidence-based

TBRI Caregiver Training has achieved a “Promising Practice/Promising” rating from two evidence-based clearinghouses:

  • The Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse, developed in accordance with the Family First Prevention Services Act, in the area of Mental Health Prevention and Treatment
  • The California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse, for research evidence in Parent Training Programs with high relevance for child welfare
