TBRI® Practitioner Training is our most intensive method for teaching Trust-Based Relational Intervention®, equipping you to practice TBRI while working with children, families and systems of care impacted by trauma.

What Training Is Like

With our accompanying TBRI® Caregiver Training Package, you can go on to train others in your organization.

Slots are limited, so we choose applicants who are in a position to help the most children, based on a variety of factors, including:

  • Your direct impact on children through your profession or other work (such as child therapists, caseworkers, CASA representatives, early childhood & development specialists, and more)
  • Your support system or workplace’s likelihood to be open to the TBRI model
  • Your geographic location in an area where we hope to grow

Training Format

You must complete all components of Phase I and Phase II to be recognized as a TBRI Practitioner.

  • Phase I: Online (your pace). Nine units of foundational coursework, completed at your own pace, plus an interpersonal interview, happening in the 10 weeks before Phase II.
  • Phase II: In-Person (live). After completing Phase I, you’ll join a group in-person for five days of intensive training focused on implementing TBRI.

Tuition: $3,500 USD

Financial Assistance / Award Opportunities: Limited award opportunities are available for most trainings, and those opportunities become available upon acceptance into the program.
