Faculty & Staff

Five Teams. One Mission. Global Impact.

At the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development (KPICD), our work is carried forward by a multidisciplinary team of faculty and staff united by a shared commitment to healing, connection, and evidence‑based practice.

Together, our five specialized teams work in partnership to serve children, families, professionals, and systems impacted by early abuse, neglect, and trauma. Grounded in the legacy of Dr. Karyn Purvis and guided by research, education, outreach, and innovation, our work advances Trust‑Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) across diverse contexts and cultures worldwide.

Our research identifies and responds to global needs, informing trauma‑informed strategies and interventions. These insights are translated into education, training, consultation, and resources that equip individuals and organizations to become leaders in trauma‑informed care — bringing hope and healing to communities around the world.
